Effective Fat Burning

You are looking for some good exercises to burn fat? There are plenty, actually. So many, in fact, that we will concentrate on just a few of them. There are some things you need to take into account when you want to burn unwanted fat. First of all, to burn fat you really need to get close to your maximum heart rate. This triggers so many functions in your body, for one it will require more energy which it will eventually get from burning fat deposits. There are several theories on what the maximum heart rate is for an age group. You will need to take these numbers as guidelines. They are only meant for healthy individuals. If you suffer from any diseases you must consult your GP and have him/her advise you on what your max is.

In general the following formula determines your maximum heart rate (where M = maximum heart rate):

M = 220 - (your age).

So if you are a 45 year old, healthy, person, your maximum heart rate would be :

M = 220 - 45 = 175.

That is 175 beats per minute. Optimal fat burning occurs slightly different per person. But start slowly at 60% of your maximum, gradually increasing it to 90%. Monitor your weight carefully, and if your scale allows it, your body fat percentage. This is a trial and error activity. But make sure you are comfortable while exercising. If you start experiencing any pain stop at once and call your doctor if it doesn't subside soon.

Basically what happens when you enter your "targeted heart range zone" is that your metabolism becomes more effective in burning fat. A good cardiovascular routine will do exactly this. Will you burn fat lifting weights? Perhaps some, but in the end cardiovascular exercises are much more efficient. You can use weight lifting to tone your muscles once the fat has been burned.

Do you prefer to stay indoors and exercise? Or would you rather enjoy the outdoors? There are numerous exercise machines for inside the house. A solid treadmill is an excellent way to do your exercises on. Jogging outdoors is also a great way to fight those layers of fat. None of the above has any effect if you don't show some commitment. Discipline is perhaps the most important factor in all of this. If you can keep up your exercise routine you WILL burn fat. Some people get the best results doing the exercises alone, others like the social aspect of joining other people in exercise.
